Abstract

Diagnosis of mental disorders and the duration of treatment can lead to tension and despair so thatpsychological stress arises from the families of people with the mental disorders. Psychological stressfamilies of people with mental disorders should be in the management properly so no impact on thetreatment of family members who have mental disorders.The research objective was to analyze the stresslevel relationships with family stress management behaviors of people with mental disorders. The studydesign was a correlation with croossectional approach. The population was the entire family of people withmental disorders were 40 taken with the total sampling and analyzed using Chi Square. Results showedfamilies of people with mental disorders do not stress as much as 29 respondents (72.5%) and positiveattitude as much as 22 respondents (55%). There was a relationship with the stress level of family stressmanagement behaviors of people with mental disorders with p value <0.05.In conclusion the level of stressrelated with family stress management behaviors of people with mental disorders. Stress managementeducation and socialization needs to be done so that the psychological burden of the family can beminimized.

Abstract

The prevalence of CHF is increasing every year. The impact of a psychosocial condition requiringcomprehensive treatment for CHF in all aspects. One contributing factor to success is the involvement ofthe family. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the differences of social support towards clients withCHF who were receiving family psychoeducation. Method: This study used a Quasi -experimental prepost test without a control group”. A sample of 25 respondents and sample retrieval techniques with apurposive sampling procedure. The instrument used was an ISSB questionnaire for measuring socialsupport. The intervention group was provided with family psychoeducation that performed 5 sessions.Result and conclusion: The finding this study showed was a significant change before and after the familysupport family psychoeducation (p-value 0.00<α). Characteristics of the family and the client is notassociated with social support. Family psychoeducation research way recommended developed in a publichospital.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic complex disease that requires medical care, self managementeducation and ongoing support to prevent complications. Health education is one of steps toincrease knowledge and skills of diabetes management independently to avoid the complication ofDM, one of them is Diabetes Self Management Education and Support (DSME/S). The aim of thisstudy was to determine the effect of DSME/S on increasing the independent management ofknowledge of patients with type 2 DM. This study use pre experimental method with one grouppretest-posttest design. There were 30 patients with type 2 DM at Idaman Kota BanjarbaruHospital on March-April 2018. This study used consecutive sampling technique. Follow up wasconducted after intervention on the third day. The instruments were module, demographicquestionnaire and DM knowledge questionnaire. Based on Paired t test results, there is an effect ofDSME/S on increasing the independent management ofknowledge of patients with type 2 DM was0.0001 (p<α; α=0.005), with an increase of 15.97%. DSME/S is effective on improving knowledgeof patient with type 2 DM, so it can be given to patients with type 2 DM as self-managementeducation to prevent complications.

Abstract

Preoperative patients who will undergo the first surgery will feel anxious which results in the body'sresponse in the form of increased blood pressure, pulse and breathing. If it's excessive, the work of the heartincluding in body's oxygen requirements will increase. This study aims to determine the differences in vitalsigns as an anxiety response in preoperative patients. This study is a comparative descriptive study of 44preoperative patients. Subjects were withdrawn from the population by accidental sampling, then measuredblood pressure, pulse and breathing twice, the day before surgery, and five minutes before anesthesia.Wilcoxom test results show the value of ρ <α (ρ <0.05) which means there are differences in blood pressure(Sistol-Diastole), pulse frequency, and respiration before surgery and five minutes before anesthesia.Theconclusion that there are differences in vital signs in preoperative patients as an anxiety response to the daybefore surgery and five minutes before anesthesia.Recommendations need to increase awareness,understanding, insight related quality of nursing care in applying nursing care and education of thepsychological patient's preoperative.

Abstract

Self- confidence is a very important aspect in adolescent development. Self-confidence grows from theparenting environtment in the family. If adolescents had low self-confidence, then adolescents will havedifficulties in living life. The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between parenting styles withadolescent self-confidence. This study used a correlational research method with a cross-sectional design. Theresearch included 87 adolescents in the SMK Borneo Lestari Banjarbaru. Subject selection with stratifiedrandom sampling technique. This research used a parenting styles questionnaire and a self-confidencequestionnaire with data analysis used spearman correlation test. The results showed that the majority ofparenting styles is democratic were 74 respondents (85.1%) and high self-confidence was 54 respondents(62.1%). The results of data analysis founded there is a relationship between parenting styles with adolescentself-confidence at SMK Borneo Lestari Banjarbaru (p-Value = 0.001, r = 0,343). These results showed aparent's approach to adolescents through appropriate parenting styles is very important for adolescentdevelopment, one of which is self-confidence. Adolescents will have good self-confidence if parents provideappropriate parenting styles.

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this research was to identify the score of Harvard Step Test as indicator ofcardiorespiratory endurance on college student smokers. Method: This was a descriptive cross-sectionalstudy. There were 40 samples who met inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected using purposivesampling. The instruments of this study were questionnaire, metronome, stop watch, and 19 inches bench.Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: The results showed that 47,5% of subjects had poorlevel, 42,5% had average level, and 10% had good level of Harvard step test. On average, 65% of subjectswere light smokers, 87,5% were filtered cigarette smokers, and 65% had been smoking for 2-5 years.Conclusion: It can be concluded nearly half of college student smokers had poor Harvard step test score asindicator of cardiorespiratory endurance.

Abstract

Filariasis (elephantiasis disease) is an infectious disease caused by filarial worm (microfilaria) andtransmitted by mosquitoes Mansonia, Anopheles, Culex, Armigeres and Aedes. In 2012 Barito KualaRegency was declared endemic filariasis with Mf-rate of 2.19%. The purpose of this study was to studycommunity and environmental factors related to the incidence of filariasis in Barito Kuala Regency. Thisstudy used a case control design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a number ofsamples with a sample of 15 people and controls 30 people with a ratio of 1: 2. The research instrumentwas in the form of a questionnaire sheet and observation sheet. Data analysis using chi-square test. Theresults of this study indicates that there was a relationship between the habit of using bed nets and theincidence of filariasis with a value of p = 0.015 OR: 6.91, there was a relationship between the habit ofusing wire netting in interactions with the incidence of filariasis with a p value of 0.441 OR: 2.04 with theincidence of filariasis with a value of p = 0.011 OR: 14.00, there was no association between the habit ofusing mosquito repellent and the incidence of filariasis with p = 0.044 OR: 5.23, and there was noassociation with water hyacinth with the incidence of filariasis with p = 0.587 OR: 1.75. The habit of usingmosquito nets, wire netting during operations, and managing marine use filariasis.

Abstract

Most adolescent have problems in the quality of sleep caused by fatigue as a result of irregular physicalactivity. This research to determine the relationship between physical activity with sleep quality for femalestudents at “Darul Hijrah Puteri” Islamic Boarding School. The design of this study was analytic surveywith cross sectional approach design. The study population was 484 female students. Cluster randomsampling is a technique used in sampling so that 243 respondents were obtained. Data were analyzed usingChi-Square test. The instrumentxof thisxstudy usedxaxquestionnaire. The results showed (p-value = 0. 384>0.05) that there was no relationship between physical activity and sleep quality in female students of theDarul Hijrah Islamic Boarding School in Martapura. There are several factors affect sleep quality, so thephysical activity cannot be the only factor for causing sleep quality problems.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that mainly attacks the parenchyma, tuberculosis can also be transmittedto other parts. Including meningens, kidney, bone and lymph nodes. Until now, there has not been a singlecountry that is free of Tuberculosis. The mortality and morbidity due to Tuberculosis germs in the world arealso high. In 2009, in the world, there were 1.7 million people who died of Tuberculosis (600,000 of themwomen) while there were 9.4 million new cases of Tuberculosis (3.3 million of them women). One-third ofthe world's population is infected with Tuberculosis, where most Tuberculosis sufferers are of productive age(15-55 years). To reduce the number of pulmonary Tuberculosis events, there needs to be high motivationfrom the patients themselves and the need for support from family and the surrounding environment. Thepurpose of this study was to identify the effect of family support on motivation to recover in patients withpulmonary Tuberculosis in the Kronjo District Health Center, Tangerang-BantenRegency. This research method was a quantitative study using a descriptive analytic design with a crosssectional approach, which is a study that methods to study the dynamics of the correlation betweenindependent variables and dependent variables. The sample in this study was Tuberculosis patients who wereon outpatient treatment for the past four months at the Puskesmas District of Kronjo, Tangerang-BantenRegency as many as 55 people.

Abstract

Pre-school children entered developments stage that include gross motor development, fine motor,socialization, independence, speech and language. Each stage of development has the potential fordevelopment disruption, including the development of independence. Factors that can influenceindependence are genes, parents, appreciation, criticism, and stimulation. Stimulation can be done withplaying telling story. This study aim to determine the effect of storytelling using paper dolls on theindenpendence of pre-school aged at TK Purnama Cimahi Year 2018. The research design used was quasiexperiment eith one group pretest-posttes approach. The population of this study were pre-school agechildern with a sample of 22 childern from 36 months to 72 months old. Samples were taken with totalsampling. Data analysis using Willcoxon Test. Data colletion used observation sheet measure pretest posttest.The data results of data analysis showed that the average growth of the pretest was 7,05 while the avarageposttest was 9.27result of bivariate analysis is p value 0,001 In conclusion, there is evidence of the effect ofstorytelling using paper dolls on the independence of pre-school aged at TK Purnama Cimahi Year 2018. It isrecommended for TK Purnama to make storytelling using paper doll as one of the stimulate to increase theindependence of preshoolers.
